Tarleton State University Launches State’s Only Online Master’s Degree in Information Systems

Tarleton State University, a member of the Texas A&M System and a 102-year-old institution with 8,200 students, is using the WebCT Campus Edition™ course management system to launch Texas’s first online master’s degree in information systems, WebCT announced today.... “The companies that hire our alumni are telling us they need more highly educated employees with deeper technical skills, like the ones we’ve sent them in the past,” said Dr. Joann Kroll Wheeler, director for the Center of Instructional Technology and Distributed Education at Tarleton in Stephenville, Texas. “Offering this valuable master’s degree online is a great way to make it happen. Students can eliminate travel, learn at the time most convenient for them and their employers, and maximize time with their families all while advancing their careers with an uncompromising education.
