Program targets lack of druggists - LISETTE VELASQUEZ, New Britain Herald
Charter Oak State College is offering a new course to address the shortage of pharmacists. The program targets nonpracticing professionals who want to return to work. The growing shortage of pharmacists in Connecticut has prompted the college to offer a refresher course that will benefit those who have wanted to return to community pharmacy practice after a prolonged absence.... The course comprises three modules. The first and second modules are completely online and provide weekly study segments that allow course participants to work at their own pace. The second modules have been approved for continuing education credit by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
