Internet courses offer alternatives - Kari Lee, Daily Vidette
Students looking for education outside the classroom may have the opportunity at their fingertips as college courses are increasing on the information super highway. In the fall of 2002, nearly 40,000 students across Illinois enrolled in courses online. Roughly 10,000 more caught on in the spring of 2003, bringing Internet course enrollment to over 50,000, director of the Illinois Virtual Campus, Iris Stovall said.
