Army's Virtual University Provides Flexibility for Soldiers - Justine K. Brown, Converge
How do you educate students that are here today and deployed to the Middle East tomorrow? That's the dilemma the U.S. Army faces. While the Army has consistently placed education of its personnel high on the priority list, the realities of enlisted life do not coordinate well with sitting in a classroom week after week at a designated time and place. But the Army is hoping to change that with an online university called eArmyU. eArmyU is a collaboration of colleges and universities offering approximately 164 programs from 25 different educational institutions.
