Web classes open doors for students - Laura Jastram, The Daily Illini
Thanks to the Internet, getting a college education doesn't have to mean coping with dorm life and dealing with overcrowded lecture halls anymore. Virtual classrooms are now making it easier for people who are going back to school or need to complete their degree from their homes nationwide and here in Illinois. "(Online education) has opened doors for people and changed their lives. It's exciting to see," said Burks Oakley, director of the University of Illinois Online.
