Online Enrollments Surge at Corinthian Colleges
Corinthian Colleges Inc. reported online course registrations for the fiscal year ended June 30 rose 82%, to 27,273 from 15,000 in fiscal 2002. For the fourth quarter ended June 30, online course registrations rose 61% to 7,615. In a press release Wednesday, the for-profit provider of post-secondary education attributed the increasing numbers to the flexibility of online learning for career-oriented education.
