Minnesota schools to offer online classes to soldiers serving overseas - STEVE KUCHERA, NEWS TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER
When American's citizen soldiers are called to active duty, they have to put a lot on hold -- families, careers, education. Now, however, Lake Superior College and eight other Minnesota schools are joining to allow Army National Guard members to attend college while serving overseas. The colleges will offer online classes to members of the Minnesota Army National Guard's 34th Infantry Division when they are deployed to Bosnia and elsewhere in Europe later this year.
