Hibbing Community College may soon offer degree programs online - STEVE KUCHERA, NEWS TRIBUNE
Hibbing Community College may soon become the next Minnesota public college accredited to offer any of its degree programs via the Internet. Such accreditation is vital when students try to transfer their credits and degrees from the two-year college to four-year colleges and universities. "I'm pretty excited about it because it opens up opportunities," said Shelly McCauley, an instructional technology assistant at Hibbing Community College. "Students can earn their AA degree and move on to a four-year university, and they can do it online, on their own schedule."
