ECollege records its first profit - Roger Fillion, Rocky Mountain News
ECollege reported its first quarterly profit in its seven-year history in the second quarter, and it projected more black ink in the third quarter amid growing enrollment in online education programs.... The company, which last week was added to the Russell 3000 index, said online student enrollments starting in the 2003 spring academic term jumped 53 percent from a year earlier, to 137,376. The company hosted 235,428 total student enrollments on its course management system, up from 128,123 last spring.
