FGCU distance learning takes off - Margaret Carlo, WBBH-TV
Earning a college degree has changed somewhat in the past five years. Distance learning at Florida Gulf Coast University allows students away from campus to still get an education, because computers can now bring what's being taught in a classroom right into someone's home. Professor Jim Wohlpart teaches an Understanding of the Visual and Performing Arts course – one required for FGCU students, one available without a classroom.
