Next we're going to look forward, starting off with the emergence of professional and business development related courses. Professional and business development related courses are becoming increasingly popular in e-learning. Sometimes these are run as a pure play e-learning exercises but usually form part of a blended learning programme. The blended learning approach enables the best practices for the required business area to be taught with the efficiencies of the e-learning approach, whilst the crucial need to put these skills into the context of the real world can be dealt with in the classroom part of the course. The ability to learn business skills in an e-learning environment is perhaps most clearly demonstrated with the emergence of vendors offering an online version of the most classic business certification - the MBA....
