This is a line from a popular television commercial that used to air nightly in Canada about 25 years ago encouraging parents to keep track of their children. Given that it aired in the 70's, it likely would have been equally useful if it had instead asked the children if they knew where their parents were :-) The reason I bring it up here is that a close approximation came to me about 4 years ago, the first time I offered a purely web-based course. The line that came to me was: "It's 10 PM, do you know where your *students* are?" ...
