Many Colleges Will Have to Pay More for Microsoft Products

The Microsoft Corporation is making changes to its three academic-pricing plans that will result in many colleges' paying more for software that they use to run their computer networks and operate their desktop PC's.

The changes, which could go into effect as early as August 1 for some institutions, involve price increases ranging from about 10 to 60 percent for some software packages.,,,
